TekniPlex Healthcare to Showcase Expanded Capabilities at Pharmapack Europe 2024

TekniPlex Healthcare will spotlight its recent expansions at Pharmapack Europe, transpiring on January 22-23, 2024, in Paris. At Stand E97, the company will showcase its efforts to meet the growing demand for sophisticated packaging solutions, highlighting new vials, bellow bottles, and multilayer blown film production capabilities.  

The company has enhanced its injection blow moulding capacity at its Modena, Italy facility to support ophthalmic and multidose vial applications. TekniPlex will present a range of bottles, including a 10 ml squeezable container designed for Aptar Pharma’s Ophthalmic Squeeze Dispenser (OSD) technology platform, which serves preservative-free multidose formulations in eye care. These bottles are produced in ISO 8 cleanrooms, ensuring high-quality standards.  

TekniPlex’s vertical bellow bottles for surgical powders and wound management will also be on display. Available in 3 ml and 9 ml sizes, these bottles feature tamper-evident caps and customisation options for enhanced safety and usability.  

In Belgium, TekniPlex’s Puurs facility has expanded its cleanroom production of multilayer blown film and bags, offering PE-EVOH-PE constructions with excellent oxygen barrier properties for pharmaceutical applications. The company will also highlight its sustainable blister packaging solutions, including a recyclable mid-barrier blister package and pharma-grade blister film with 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content.  

Additionally, TekniPlex Healthcare will also unveil its Flexapharm SBC series of PVDC (polyvinylidene chloride) coated PVC structures, and a range of Aclar laminates, which offer exemplary barriers against oxygen and moisture, and preserve the efficacy and shelf life of drugs respectively.
