Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) Joins Hands with Provivi, Inc.

In a recent collaboration, India-based Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) and US-based Provivi, Inc. joined forces to introduce sustainable and biological pest control solutions customized to serve the needs of corn and rice farmers of India.

YSB Eco-Dispenser by Provivi will be introduced in India by GAVL, to fight the rice Yellow Stem Borer (YSB). Furthermore, the FAW Eco-Dispenser, which targets fall armyworm (FAW) in maize, will only be marketed by GAVL in India.

Both the solutions are manufactured using pheromone-based technologies to provide access to Indian farmers to advanced, eco-friendly pest control tools, sustaining the lives of millions of cultivators who rely on the production of rice and maize. The Provivi YSB and FAW Eco-Dispensers are made from materials that are completely degradable, allowing them to maintain their effectiveness for a longer period of time with lesser negative impacts on the environment. The introduction of these new items will enhance the company’s position in the rice and maize sectors.

Being one of the top rice producers globally and possessing a prominent position as a maize supplier for food, poultry, and industrial applications, the adoption of advancements in sustainable pest control is expected to lead to a beneficial position for India.
