Reliance Power & Bhutan Ink ₹2,000 Crore Deal for Nation’s Largest Solar Project

Reliance Power has signed a major agreement with Bhutan’s Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) to set up the country’s largest solar power project, with an estimated investment of ₹2,000 crore. The project, spread across four strategic sites, will generate 550 MW of solar energy - marking a significant step toward diversifying Bhutan’s hydro-dominated energy mix.

This collaboration, supported by India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, not only boosts Bhutan’s renewable energy capacity but also strengthens regional ties in clean energy development.
